The band returned from the Pogson Bray entertainment contest placed 4th in a competitive contest at Berties Banqueting suite in Elland. The band entertained the crowd by performing ‘The Heat is On’, ‘Praise’, ‘Ain’t No Sunshine’, ‘Copacabana’ and finally ‘Alloway Tales’. Emley bands’ Cameron Chapman deserverdly took the ‘Best Soloist’ award for his performance of ‘Ain’t No Sunshine’. Although MD Garry Hallas didn’t pick up any silverware with Emley at the contest, he conducted his other band, East Riding of Yorkshire, to victory, congratulations to all involved.
