It was lovely to see some new faces supporting us at our latest Concert. it was the first (and certainly not the last) time Emley played at this great venue, and we enjoyed every minute of it. Our programme contained an eclectic mix of music from a variety of genres, Including the great hit ‘Bat Out of Hell’ by Meatloaf to ‘Polovtsian Dances’ by Alexander Borodin. we even featured our very own Emley Brass Band Male Voice Choir, singing the opening to ‘Bui Doi’ from the musical Miss Saigon. and we couldn’t finish a one of our concerts without a rousing rendition of Teddy Bear’s Picnic.
we would also like to thank a few people who helped make the night a success. Firstly, David and Jo, who helped admission to the concert and welcoming guests to the concert. and we would also like to thank ladies in the office at Mapplewell & Staincross village hall who helped sell lots of tickets in advance and they also provided the refreshments for the evening, which we at Emley Brass Band greatly appreciated.
